Program Overview

The USF Muma DBA is a 72-credit, three-year applied doctoral program designed for C-suite executives and senior business leaders with 12+ years of experience. Offered in two tracks — an in-person program with monthly Friday-Saturday weekend sessions on USF's Tampa campus and a fully online program via Microsoft Teams with two brief on-campus residencies — both lead to the identical DBA degree. Founded in 2015 by Harvard DBA holder T. Grandon Gill, the program emphasizes case study publication from the first semester, requires attendance at 3+ academic conferences, and offers flexible dissertation formats including traditional thesis, book, major research project, or portfolio of research-driven activities.
