The UCT Graduate School of Business PhD in Business Administration is a research-based doctoral programme designed for both full-time and part-time students. The programme comprises a thesis plus a compulsory series of five Professional Research Component (PRC) workshops in Year 1. Students develop a full research proposal within approximately six months of registration, then proceed with independent supervised research toward thesis completion. UCT GSB is one of only three business schools in Africa to hold Triple Crown accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) and is the highest-ranked business school on the continent.
