The Cranfield Executive DBA is a part-time, practice-driven research degree designed for senior executives to conduct doctoral-level research while remaining in full-time employment. The programme combines intensive residential weeks at Cranfield University's campus in Bedfordshire with independent supervised research. Approximately 80% is independent research guided by a supervisory team of two supervisors, with 20% structured residential teaching. The programme has been running since 1999 and is one of only a handful of DBA programmes worldwide to hold AMBA accreditation. Each student receives four faculty members engaged with their progress (2 supervisors + 2 panel members).
